DFDS is looking for an Painter to work onboard RORO vessel.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out grit blasting and surface preparation on steel structures
- Apply primers, coatings and paint systems according to specifications
- Maintain blasting and painting equipment in safe working order
- Follow safety procedures, including PPE use and confined space rules
- Work closely with deck and technical crew to plan and complete jobs on time
- Requirements:
- Proven seagoing or shipyard experience as blaster/painter or similar role
- Good knowledge of surface preparation and marine coating systems
- Fit for physically demanding work, including working aloft and in enclosed areas
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow work instructions
- Good English communication skills
