Chief Engineer (C/E) – Offshore PSV – Brazil-flagged vessel, Brazil
Description
Chief Engineer required for Brazil-flagged Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) operating offshore Brazil. The C/E will be responsible for safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all engine room and technical systems on board, in accordance with company procedures and flag/state regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise engine room team and technical crew
- Ensure safe operation, maintenance and repair of all machinery and auxiliary systems
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Monitor performance of propulsion, power generation and DP-related systems
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports as required
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and company procedures
- Cooperate closely with Master and bridge team, especially during DP operations
- Manage spare parts, stores and technical documentation
Requirements
- Valid CHIEF ENG II - APOIO SINDMAR
- Valid DP TEC
- Experience on PSV vessels
- Good working knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness in accordance with flag and local regulations
- Ability to lead an engine room team and work safely in offshore operations
