We are looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join our offshore PSV operation in Brazil. As ETO, you will be responsible for safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting vessel performance and safety at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems
- Troubleshoot and repair faults on electrical, electronic, automation and control systems
- Maintain DP, navigation, communication and safety systems in good working order
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance according to PMS and manufacturer guidelines
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs and spare parts usage
- Support the Chief Engineer and bridge team to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations
- Follow all safety procedures and participate actively in drills and toolbox talks
Requirements
- Valid ETO license and STCW certificates in accordance with international and Brazilian requirements
- Proven experience as ETO on offshore vessels, preferably PSV
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Experience with DP systems and offshore operations is an advantage
- Good English communication skills; Portuguese is an advantage
- Medically fit for offshore work and holder of valid offshore survival certificates (e.g. HUET/BOSIET or equivalent)
