Join OSM Thome as an Able Seafarer (AB) onboard an offshore support vessel in Brazil. If you are a hands-on seafarer with solid deck experience and a strong safety mindset, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mooring, unmooring, anchoring and cargo operations as directed
- Perform lookout duties and assist on the bridge when required
- Handle deck equipment, lines, fenders and towing gear safely
- Assist with maintenance, painting, cleaning and general deck work
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in drills and toolbox meetings
- Support safe offshore operations alongside supply bases and offshore units
Requirements
- Valid AB deck certificate and seagoing documents in accordance with STCW
- Previous experience as AB, preferably on offshore/support vessels
- Good knowledge of deck operations, mooring and basic seamanship
- Medically fit for sea service
- Good communication skills in English
- Right to work and sail from Brazil according to local regulations
