Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in the North Sea. We are looking for an experienced seafarer who can manage the galley, prepare good, healthy meals, and keep high standards of hygiene and safety on board.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Order, receive, and store food provisions properly
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the galley and stores
- Follow vessel’s food safety and health regulations
- Monitor stock levels and reduce waste
- Work closely with Master and officers on menu planning and budget
Requirements
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on tankers (oil/chemical preferred)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good knowledge of galley safety and food hygiene standards
- Ability to plan menus and manage provisions for multinational crew
- Good English communication skills
