Set sail as Chief Officer on oil/chemical tankers with OSM Thome. Take a leading role on deck and in cargo operations, work closely with the Master and shipboard team, and support safe and efficient voyages worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Ensure safe deck operations and maintenance of deck equipment
- Lead and train deck crew, promoting safe working practices
- Monitor stability, draft, trim and cargo condition
- Oversee navigation watch as required by the Master
- Implement ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and company procedures
- Support emergency drills and onboard safety routines
Requirements
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate License (unlimited), STCW-compliant
- Recent experience as C/O or 2/O on oil/chemical tankers
- Valid tanker endorsements for oil and chemical cargoes
- Valid medical fitness certificate and required STCW safety courses
- Strong cargo handling and stability knowledge for tankers
- Good English communication skills and team leadership
