Sail worldwide as an Electrician with OSM Thome. Maintain and repair vessel electrical systems on international voyages.
Join OSM Thome as an Electrician (ELEC) and work worldwide on board our vessels. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical and electronic systems safe, reliable, and in good working order.
- Key responsibilities:
- Must be British/Irish or have the right to work on the UK. Should have GWO SS for CTV transfers
- Maintain and repair all electrical equipment, including generators, motors, switchboards and lighting systems
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out necessary corrective actions
- Perform routine inspections, testing and planned maintenance of electrical systems
- Support safe operation of navigation, communication and automation systems
- Ensure all work complies with safety rules and company procedures
- Requirements:
- Relevant seagoing experience as Electrician or ETO on seagoing vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as required
- Good knowledge of marine electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and follow maintenance manuals
- Good English communication skills and strong safety mindset
