Join OSM Thome as a Rigger on an offshore multipurpose vessel in Brazil. You will work as part of the deck and crane team, ensuring all lifting and rigging work is done safely and efficiently in demanding offshore conditions.
- Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, inspect and use slings, shackles, wires and lifting gear for deck and offshore operations
- Assist with crane and winch operations, including loading and discharging cargo and equipment
- Rig and de-rig loads, ensuring safe weight distribution and secure connections
- Support deck crew in mooring, anchor handling and other routine deck work
- Follow all safety procedures, toolbox talks and permit-to-work requirements
- Report any unsafe conditions, damaged gear or incidents to the supervisor
- Requirements:
- Proven offshore experience as a Rigger or similar deck position
- Valid offshore certificates (BOSIET/FOET or equivalent) and medical
- Recognized rigging and slinging certification
- Good understanding of lifting plans, SWL/WLL and basic hand signals for crane work
- Fit for offshore work, safety-minded and able to work well in a team
