Join OSM Thome as a Mechanical Supervisor on a multipurpose offshore vessel in Brazil. You will be part of the engine team, keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out daily maintenance and repair of main and auxiliary engines, pumps, compressors and other mechanical equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting breakdowns and reporting faults to the Engine Officer
- Follow planned maintenance schedules and keep accurate records
- Ensure safe working practices and proper use of tools and spare parts
- Support engine room operations during manoeuvring and offshore activities
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Mechanic / Motorman or similar position on offshore or seagoing vessels
- Valid STCW certificates relevant to rank
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and mechanical equipment
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior officers
- Good English communication skills; eligibility to work in Brazil is an advantage
