OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to work onboard an offshore multipurpose vessel in Brazil. If you have strong hands-on skills with marine engines and machinery and enjoy working at sea, this could be the right role for you.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance and repair of engines, pumps, compressors and auxiliary machinery
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Perform planned maintenance according to PMS and manufacturer guidelines
- Support safe and efficient engine room operations
- Keep maintenance records and report any defects to senior officers
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Mechanic (MECH) or similar position onboard offshore or multipurpose vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents in line with position
- Good knowledge of marine diesel engines and mechanical systems
- Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures
- Good English communication skills
