Key Responsibilities
- Carry out steel repairs, welding, cutting and fabrication jobs on board
- Assist engine crew with maintenance of machinery and ship equipment
- Maintain and repair pipelines, brackets, supports and structural parts
- Follow safety procedures and use correct tools and protective equipment
- Support general engine room and deck repair work as required
Requirements
- Previous sea experience as Fitter on merchant vessels, preferably car carriers or similar
- Strong skills in welding, gas cutting and use of workshop tools
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for sea service
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with safe working attitude and readiness for worldwide trading
