Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on a shuttle tanker trading offshore Brazil. Work with an experienced engine team, keep machinery running safely and smoothly, and build your offshore tanker experience.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Engineer Officers in daily engine room operations
- Carry out routine checks on main engine, auxiliaries and pumps
- Perform lube oil, fuel oil and bilge system duties
- Handle cleaning, greasing and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any abnormal condition
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (engine rating) certificate, STCW compliant
- Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on tankers
- All mandatory STCW safety courses and valid medical certificate
- Tanker familiarization; shuttle tanker experience is an advantage
- Good English communication and strong safety mindset
- Fit for offshore work and willing to work in Brazilian waters
