Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on a car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional deck team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations, and overall vessel safety on international voyages.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand bridge watch and ensure safe navigation at sea and in port
- Assist with voyage planning, chart and publication corrections
- Support cargo operations and stability control for car carrier trades
- Maintain safety equipment and take part in safety drills
- Prepare and complete deck logs and other required paperwork
- Assist the Chief Officer with deck crew supervision and daily deck work
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Officer (OOW) license and STCW certificates
- Previous experience as 2/O, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and good teamwork attitude
- Medically fit for sea service
