Join OSM Thome as Bosun on a car carrier trading worldwide. You will lead the deck crew, keep the vessel’s decks and equipment in good order, and support safe cargo and mooring operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise deck ratings in daily deck work
- Organize and carry out maintenance of deck, hull and fittings
- Assist with cargo, lashing and unlashing of vehicles
- Take part in mooring, anchoring and unmooring operations
- Ensure safe working practices and proper use of deck equipment
- Support drills and emergency duties as assigned
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as Bosun or senior AB on seagoing vessels
- Car carrier or Ro-Ro experience preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good seamanship and practical deck skills
- Ability to lead and train deck ratings
- Good English communication skills
