Join OSM Thome as a Motorman / Oiler on a shuttle tanker operating off Brazil. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded seafarer to support engine room operations and keep machinery running smoothly.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers in daily engine room operations and watchkeeping
- Carry out routine maintenance, lubrication and cleaning of machinery and equipment
- Monitor and record parameters of main and auxiliary engines and related systems
- Support bunkering, fuel transfer and sludge operations as required
- Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in all work areas
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) certificate and all required STCW documents
- Tanker experience, preferably on shuttle tankers
- Good knowledge of engine room routines and safe working practices
- Medical fitness and seafaring documents in line with international and Brazilian regulations
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from engineering officers
