Join OSM Thome as 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer on our chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping the vessel’s machinery safe, efficient and ready for global operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine and auxiliary machinery
- Carry out routine checks, inspections and planned maintenance as assigned
- Monitor engine room parameters and report abnormalities to senior engineers
- Support cargo handling operations from an engine/utility standpoint
- Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work, and environmental regulations
- Keep engine room areas, tools and equipment clean and in good order
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW III/1 Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (or equivalent)
- Experience on tankers preferred, chemical tanker experience is an advantage
- Valid tanker and basic safety training certificates
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Team player with a strong safety and work ethic mindset
