We are looking for an experienced Motorman / Oiler to work on a RORO vessel under DFDS.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Engineer Officers with day-to-day engine room duties
- Carry out routine checks on main and auxiliary engines and machinery
- Perform oiling, greasing and general maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Monitor machinery readings and report any irregularities
- Keep engine room and workshops clean, safe and in good order
- Support bunkering and fuel transfer operations as instructed
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) STCW certification and seagoing documents
- Previous experience in an engine room, preferably on RORO or similar vessels
- Good understanding of engine room safety and safe working practices
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Ability to work in a team, follow instructions and handle physical work
- Good command of spoken and written English
