OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Officer (2/O) to join an Offshore Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel trading from Romania. If you are a professional navigator with solid offshore and anchor-handling experience, we would like to hear from you.
- Key responsibilities:
- Standing bridge watch and assisting the Chief Officer with navigation and vessel operations
- Planning and executing voyages in line with COLREGS and company procedures
- Assisting with anchor handling, towing and supply operations offshore
- Maintaining charts, publications and navigational equipment up to date
- Supporting deck operations, cargo handling and safety drills
- Ensuring compliance with ISM, ISPS and safety standards onboard
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Officer / OOW (Deck) license meeting STCW requirements
- Previous experience on AHTS or similar offshore vessels
- Strong watchkeeping and ship-handling skills
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates, including offshore survival as applicable
- Valid medical fitness certificate and seafarer’s documents
- Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
