Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on an offshore multipurpose vessel trading worldwide. You will support safe navigation, cargo / deck operations, and day-to-day bridge routines as part of a professional and experienced team.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand bridge watch and ensure safe navigation at all times
- Assist Master and Chief Officer with passage planning and ship handling
- Maintain charts, publications, and navigational equipment up to date
- Assist with cargo, deck and offshore operations as required
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, SMS, and international regulations
- Take part in safety drills, inspections, and toolbox talks
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW 2nd Officer / OOW CoC, compliant with IMO standards
- Experience as 2/O or OOW, preferably on offshore or multipurpose vessels
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety courses, medical certificate, and seaman’s documents
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a multinational crew
