Telecommunication Supervisor is needed for various Offshore vessels, worldwide. Employment is with our client, a drilling and construction contractor.
Job Information
- Position: Telecommunication Supervisor.
- Project: Various Offshore Vessels.
- Location: Worldwide.
- Contract start date: ASAP.
- Contract duration: 12 months (renewable).
- Rotation: 56/ 28 on/off.
- Working days/hours: 7 days per week/ 12 hours per day.
- Salary: Please indicate your realistic consolidated monthly salary in USD/EUR/GBP. Consolidated monthly salary, provided rotation and working schedule are respected, not paid while on rotational leave. Amount is net in your bank account.
- Overtime: Per every extra hour worked beyond above mentioned hours per day.
- Accommodation and board: Provided on board.
- Insurances: Provided.
- Travel: In accordance with the Company’s travel policy applicable at the time of the travel and within the booking capabilities of the Company, the latter will provide a prepaid air ticket from the departure airport nearest to the domicile of the Employee to the Work Location at commencement and termination of the employment and at the beginning and the end of each Leave Period. The Employee will be liable for any excess baggage costs.

Requirements/ Qualifications/ Competence
- Minimum 6 years experience in Offshore Hook-Up.
- BOSIET & H2S Training certificates.
- Valid Certification of Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) from Fiber Optic.
- Highly preferable Cable Glands training ATEX Certificate.
- HSE Induction course and Basic Life Support.
- Permit to Work (PTW).
- English Language minimum at Level B2.
Mission
- Supervise the execution of telecommunication works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures, in the planned time frame. Support the instrumentation subcontractors or the direct hiring personnel ensuring the feasibility (availability of drawings and materials) of the works.
Tasks
- Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected.
- Ensure the fulfilment of the project quality and contractual requirements.
- Verify and confirm the availability of drawings and materials, to plan the efficient execution of the works performed by subcontractors or by direct hiring personnel.
- Assist subcontractors or direct hiring personnel for the correct interpretation of the drawings, providing support in the solution of technical problems.
- Prepare and coordinate the detailed programs for the assigned activities.
- Coordinate telecommunication installation activities with other department construction works.
- Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus.
- Verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with the project specifications, highlighting any engineering problems encountered in the field.
- Measure the progress of the works carried out.
- Provide quantitative data for producing weekly progress reports, monitoring the employed manpower.
- Ensure the continuous assessment of the quantities installed.
