Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on a crude oil tanker trading worldwide.
You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping vessel machinery safe, reliable and efficient on all voyages.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer in safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems
- Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs on main engine, auxiliaries and related equipment
- Monitor fuel, lube oil, and cooling systems, and keep accurate engine room records
- Supervise and guide engine ratings in daily work and watchkeeping
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures at all times
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Motor) CoC for tanker vessels, meeting STCW requirements
- Experience as 2/E on crude oil tankers preferred
- Valid tanker endorsements and medical fitness certificates
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in an international crew
