OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to work on board a bulk carrier trading worldwide. If you are a hands-on electrician with solid sea experience, good fault-finding skills, and a safety-first mindset, we invite you to explore this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair all electrical and electronic equipment on board
- Carry out troubleshooting on power generation, distribution, and control systems
- Maintain navigation and communication systems together with bridge team
- Support engine and deck departments with electrical and automation issues
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company and class requirements
- Keep proper records, reports, and maintenance logs
Requirements
- Valid Electro Technical Officer (ETO) license and relevant STCW certificates
- Previous sea service as ETO, preferably on bulk carriers
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic, and automation systems
- Good level of English, spoken and written
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Team player with a proactive and safety-conscious attitude
