OSM Thome is looking for a skilled Chief Cook (C/C) to serve on board an oil/chemical tanker trading worldwide. If you have strong galley experience at sea and enjoy working with an international crew, this could be a good match for you.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for crew and officers according to menu and budget
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in galley, store rooms and mess rooms
- Manage food stores, monitor stock levels and arrange timely requisitions
- Ensure proper handling, rotation and storage of provisions
- Follow all safety, health and sanitation procedures on board
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on tanker vessels (oil/chemical preferred)
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents as per rank
- Good knowledge of galley safety and food hygiene standards
- Able to work independently and manage galley operations
- Good English communication skills
