Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on board an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in Canada. We are looking for an experienced seafarer who can provide safe, tasty and nutritious meals for the crew and keep a clean, well-organized galley.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Ensure galley and food stores are clean, safe and well organized
- Manage food stocks, ordering and proper storage
- Follow all hygiene, safety and galley procedures on board
- Work closely with the Master and Officers on menu planning and budgeting
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on tankers (Oil/Chemical preferred)
- Valid maritime documents and medical certificates as per international and flag requirements
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling
- Ability to plan menus and manage provisions for mixed-nationality crews
- Good communication skills in English
