Chief Cook (C/C) wanted for Oil/Chemical Tanker in Canada. Join OSM Thome and bring your galley expertise on board.
Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading to and from Canada. We are looking for an experienced seafarer who can run the galley safely and efficiently, while serving good, healthy food to an international crew.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for officers and ratings
- Manage galley operations, including hygiene, safety and cost control
- Order, receive and store provisions according to company procedures
- Maintain galley equipment and ensure proper cleaning routines
- Work closely with Master and Chief Officer on victualling and budget
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on oil/chemical tankers
- Valid seafarer documents and medical certificates as per STCW
- Strong knowledge of galley safety, HACCP and stock control
- Ability to cook varied, nutritious meals for multinational crew
- Good English communication skills and ability to work under pressure
