Join OSM Thome, IWS as a Motorman / Oiler on offshore Service Operation Vessels (SOV) operating in France. You will work closely with the engineering team to keep all engine room machinery running safely and efficiently, supporting offshore wind operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist engineers in daily operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliaries and mechanical systems
- Perform routine checks, lubrication, cleaning and minor repairs on machinery and equipment
- Monitor machinery parameters and report any abnormalities to the duty engineer
- Keep engine room, workshops and stores clean, safe and well organized
- Follow all safety procedures and take part in drills and toolbox talks
- Assist with bunkering, transfers and other engine room duties as required
Requirements
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) seafarer certificate and STCW documents in line with rank
- Sea experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on offshore or similar vessels
- Good knowledge of engine room routines, safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Medically fit for offshore and seagoing duties
- Ability to work in a mixed, international crew and follow instructions clearly
- Basic English communication skills, spoken and written
