Join OSM Thome as an Electro Technical Officer (ETO) onboard an offshore pipe-laying vessel in Brazil. You will be part of a professional crew, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems
- Look after DP, navigation, communication and automation systems as required
- Carry out regular inspections, testing and planned maintenance of electrical equipment
- Support safe deck and pipe-laying operations by ensuring reliable power and control systems
- Keep proper records of maintenance, spares and repairs in line with company procedures
- Work closely with the Chief Engineer and bridge team to solve technical issues
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and STCW certificates in accordance with international standards
- Experience as ETO on offshore vessels, preferably pipe-layers or DP vessels
- Strong hands-on skills with high-voltage systems, automation and electronic controls
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Medically fit for offshore work
