Join OSM Thome as an Instrument Technician on a fixed offshore platform in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In this role, you will work with the vessel crew to keep all instrumentation and control systems operating safely and reliably.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspection, testing, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments and control systems.
- Maintain, repair and replace sensors, transmitters, control valves and panels.
- Support commissioning and start-up of new or upgraded equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times.
- Keep maintenance records and report any defects or abnormalities.
- Requirements:
- Relevant technical education as Instrument Technician or similar.
- Experience with offshore or marine instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation and process control equipment.
- Good English communication skills; ability to work in a mixed crew.
- Valid offshore certificates as required by flag and local regulations.
