3rd Engineer (3/E) – LPG/Ethylene Tanker – Cyprus Flag
Description
OSM Thome is looking for a competent 3rd Engineer (3/E) to serve on board a Cyprus-flagged LPG/Ethylene tanker trading worldwide. Joining port: Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Chief and 2nd Engineer in safe and efficient engine room operations
- Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and related machinery
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Monitor and maintain LPG/Ethylene cargo-related machinery and equipment
- Keep accurate engine room logs and maintenance records
- Follow company and international safety, environmental and pollution-prevention procedures
- Participate in emergency drills and engine room watchkeeping duties
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year sea service as 3rd Engineer or equivalent rank
- Mandatory experience on LPG tanker; Ethylene experience preferred
- Valid STCW certificates appropriate for rank and vessel type
- Valid Certificate of Competency for 3rd Engineer; higher valid license preferred
- Medically fit for sea service as per international standards
- Good command of English, spoken and written
