- Key responsibilities:
- Stand navigational watch and ensure safe voyage planning and execution
- Assist Chief Officer with cargo operations, tank inspections, and stability
- Monitor cargo handling, tank cleaning, and ballasting in line with company and charterer requirements
- Maintain navigational equipment, charts, and publications up to date
- Support implementation of safety, environmental and SMS procedures on board
- Assist with crew drills, training, and day-to-day deck operations
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Officer / OOW (Deck) license, STCW compliant
- Recent experience on Oil/Chemical Tankers in the same rank preferred
- Valid tanker endorsements (oil/chemical), STCW basic and advanced courses
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Medically fit for sea service with valid medical certificate
- Strong safety mindset and good teamwork attitude
