- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the engine room team
- Operate, monitor, and maintain all main and auxiliary machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure safe engine room operations and compliance with company and international regulations
- Manage bunker operations, fuel and lube oil consumption, and engine room spares
- Prepare technical reports and keep engine logs updated
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license for seagoing vessels
- Recent experience as Chief Engineer, preferably on bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of engine room systems, PMS, and safety procedures
- Valid STCW certificates, medical fitness, and seafarer documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Good command of written and spoken English
