Join OSM Thome as a 4th / Junior Engineer on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently while gaining solid hands-on sea experience.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room equipment
- Carry out routine checks, rounds and record-keeping in the engine room
- Support bunkering, fuel transfers and other engine room operations
- Follow planned maintenance and assist in repairs as instructed by senior engineers
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in all machinery spaces
- Requirements:
- Valid 4th Engineer or equivalent STCW license with tanker (oil/chemical) endorsement
- Previous sea service in engine department, preferably on tankers
- Valid STCW certificates, medical and travel documents
- Good English communication and ability to work in an international crew
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the engine team
