Join OSM Thome as Medic on an offshore Subsea Rock Installation Vessel in the North Sea. You will be the primary healthcare provider on board, ensuring the crew’s medical safety and supporting daily health routines in a challenging offshore environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency medical care to all crew on board
- Run and maintain the vessel’s medical clinic and medical store
- Carry out daily hygiene and health checks around the vessel
- Keep medical records and prepare medical reports as required
- Support health and safety campaigns and toolbox talks on board
- Liaise with shore medical providers and assist with medical evacuations when needed
Requirements
- Qualified medic, nurse, paramedic or doctor with valid license/registration
- Recognized offshore / remote medicine training (e.g. OMI or equivalent)
- Valid offshore survival and safety certificates as per North Sea requirements
- Seagoing medical experience, preferably on offshore or construction vessels
- Experience in trauma management, remote medicine, casualty stabilization, and medevac coordination.
- Strong English communication skills, spoken and written
- Ability to work independently, stay calm in emergencies, and fit into a mixed-nationality crew
- Experience managing offshore medical facilities and emergency response operations.
- Knowledge of offshore wind, marine construction, and UK offshore medical requirements.
- Minimum 3-5 years' offshore medical experience
