Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on board a modern container vessel trading worldwide. Work closely with the deck and engine teams to keep all electrical and electronic systems running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain and repair all electrical and electronic equipment on board
- Take care of power generation, distribution and emergency power systems
- Monitor and maintain automation, control and alarm systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and fault finding on bridge, engine room and cargo systems
- Keep accurate maintenance and repair records as per company and class requirements
- Support safe vessel operations and follow all safety and environmental procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC meeting STCW requirements
- Sea experience as ETO, preferably on container vessels
- Good knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Valid medical fitness and required STCW safety certificates
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in an international crew
