Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on our container vessels trading worldwide. You will support safe navigation, cargo operations and deck routines, working in an international team with solid safety and operating standards.
- Key responsibilities:
- Bridge watchkeeping and safe navigation as per Master/Chief Officer’s instructions
- Assist with voyage planning, charts, publications and navigational equipment
- Participate in cargo operations, stability and ballasting as required
- Lead deck ratings for routine maintenance and safety drills
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISM, ISPS and MARPOL rules
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Officer / OOW (Deck) license meeting STCW requirements
- Experience on container vessels preferred
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service, with valid seafarer medical
