Join OSM Thome as a Ballast Control Operator/Control Room Operator (BCO/CRO) onboard an offshore FPSO/FSO in Brazil. In this role, you will monitor and control ballast, cargo, and marine systems to keep the unit safe, stable, and ready for operations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor ballast, cargo, and marine systems from the control room
- Maintain vessel stability, draft, and trim within safe limits
- Monitor alarms, process data, and report any abnormal condition immediately
- Support marine, deck, and engine teams in daily operations and cargo activities
- Follow safe working practices, permit to work, and company procedures
- Keep logbooks, records, and checklists up to date
Requirements
- Previous experience as BCO/CRO on FPSO/FSO or similar offshore units
- Strong knowledge of ballast and stability systems and marine operations
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore survival/medical as required
- Good English communication skills, written and spoken
- Ability to work safely in a 24/7 offshore rotational environment
