Join OSM Thome as Pumpman on a chemical tanker trading in HRA waters. You will work closely with deck and engine teams to keep cargo systems safe, efficient, and ready for operations at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor cargo and ballast pumps during loading, discharging, and tank cleaning
- Maintain cargo lines, valves, strainers, and pump room equipment
- Assist with tank cleaning, gas freeing, and preparation for inspections
- Carry out routine checks in pump room and report any defects or leaks
- Support safe cargo operations and follow company and industry safety procedures
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Pumpman on chemical tankers
- Good knowledge of cargo and ballast systems and pump room operations
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker/chemical endorsements as required
- Fit for HRA trading and able to follow onboard safety rules and procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
