Join OSM Thome as a Fitter onboard a modern car carrier trading worldwide. Work closely with the engine and deck teams to keep the vessel, equipment, and systems in safe and reliable condition.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out steel repair, cutting, and welding jobs as instructed
- Maintain and repair pipes, brackets, foundations, and ship structures
- Assist engine crew with maintenance of machinery and engine room equipment
- Prepare, use, and maintain workshop tools and welding equipment safely
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Fitter onboard seagoing vessels, preferably car carriers or similar
- Strong skills in welding, gas cutting, grinding, and basic machining
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a strong safety mindset and willingness to work worldwide
