OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join Rock Star, a modern offshore rock dumping vessel operating mainly in the North Sea.
This position would suit a Chief Engineer with experience on offshore construction, subsea support, cable lay, trenching, rock dumping, heavy lift or other DP vessels. Strong technical knowledge of large diesel engines, power generation and complex vessel machinery systems is essential.

Responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the engine department.
• Lead, coach and manage the onboard engineering team.
• Ensure planned maintenance is completed in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain compliance with Flag State, Class and Company requirements.
• Monitor vessel performance and machinery reliability.
• Manage technical reporting, inventories and spare parts.
• Support safe and efficient offshore operations.
Requirements / Qualifications / Competence
• Chief Engineer Unlimited CoC (STCW III/2).
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent seafarer medical certificate.
• Strong experience with large diesel engines, power generation and vessel machinery systems.
• Rock dumping vessel experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Positive attitude and strong focus on safety and teamwork.
