OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Motorman / Oiler to join a car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of a steady engine team, supporting safe and efficient operation of all machinery onboard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with operation and routine maintenance of main engine and auxiliaries
- Carry out daily engine room rounds and report any irregularities
- Perform lube oil, fuel oil and cooling water checks as instructed
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in engine room spaces
- Assist during bunkering, drills and other engine room duties as required
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (Engine Rating) certificates and seaman’s documents
- Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels
- Valid STCW basic safety, medical certificate and security training
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for worldwide trading and willing to work in a multinational crew
