Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in day-to-day engine room operations
- Operate, monitor and maintain main and auxiliary engines and machinery
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ensure safe and efficient fuel, lube oil and consumables management
- Keep engine room logs and records up to company and class standards
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in all technical spaces
Requirements
- Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) license, STCW compliant
- Previous experience as 2/E, preferably on offshore or construction vessels
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates
- HUET & CAEBS Opito Approved, Shoulder Measurement
- Good knowledge of engine room systems, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
