Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer onboard an offshore pipe-layer operating in Trinidad and Tobago. You will support safe and reliable vessel operations, working closely with the Chief Engineer and engine room team to keep all machinery running smoothly.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor and operate main engines, auxiliary engines, and related machinery
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems
- Keep engine room logs, records, and reports up to date
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures
- Supervise and guide engine room ratings as required
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Motor) STCW license with all required endorsements
- Previous sea service as 2/E, preferably on offshore / DP / construction or similar vessels
- Strong knowledge of engine room systems and troubleshooting
- Valid STCW safety courses, medical and offshore certificates as required
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
