Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in Europe. You will be part of the engine team, keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently while maintaining high operational and safety standards on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room equipment
- Carry out routine checks, watchkeeping and machinery performance monitoring
- Perform planned maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting as instructed by senior engineers
- Ensure correct use of fuel, lube oil and engine room consumables
- Keep engine spaces clean, safe and in good working order
- Follow company and vessel procedures for safety, environment and pollution prevention
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer (Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch) license
- Tanker (Oil/Chemical) experience and required STCW tanker endorsements
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Previous experience on seagoing vessels, preferably tankers
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and team spirit
