Step into the role of 3rd Officer on an offshore support vessel operating in the UK sector. You will assist the bridge team with safe navigation and vessel operations, supporting marine and offshore activities to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with safe navigation, watchkeeping and collision avoidance
- Carry out bridge watch under the supervision of senior officers
- Assist with DP operations as required by the vessel’s trading pattern
- Monitor and maintain safety and firefighting equipment
- Participate in mooring, anchoring and cargo/ deck operations
- Support drills, safety rounds and permit-to-work routines
- Prepare and update logbooks, checklists and relevant documentation
Requirements
- Valid STCW Officer of the Watch (Deck) CoC
- DP Unlimited
- Previous seagoing experience as 3/O or Junior Officer, preferably on offshore/support vessels
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates
- Valid seafarer medical certificate and seaman’s book
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a team offshore
