Set sail as Chief Cook on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in the North Sea. Take charge of the galley, prepare good, healthy meals for the crew, and keep high standards of hygiene and safety on board. Be a key part of the team supporting safe and smooth vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Manage galley stores, provisions, and stock control
- Ensure galley, mess rooms, and food stores are clean and well maintained
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
- Work closely with the Master and Chief Officer on budgeting and ordering
- Support a positive crew atmosphere and safe working culture on board
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on tanker vessels (oil/chemical preferred)
- Valid maritime cook/chef certification and STCW certificates
- Good knowledge of international and mixed crew cuisine
- Strong focus on hygiene, safety, and food quality
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
