Take charge of all engine room operations as Chief Engineer on an Offshore AHTS vessel trading in North Sea waters. Keep the vessel safe, reliable and compliant, and work closely with the Master and deck team during anchor handling and offshore support work.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of all main and auxiliary machinery, systems and equipment
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs to avoid breakdowns
- Lead and supervise the engine room crew, ensuring safe and efficient work
- Monitor fuel, lube oil and spare parts, and keep engine room records updated
- Ensure compliance with class, flag state, ISM, and company procedures
- Support safe and efficient vessel operations during anchor handling and towing
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license (unlimited), STCW as required
- Proven experience as C/E on Offshore vessels, preferably AHTS
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, propulsion and auxiliary systems
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Fit for duty with valid medicals and required offshore certificates
- Strong leadership, safety mindset and teamwork skills
