Our client is Western Australia’s leading supplier of precast and prestressed concrete products for the state’s major infrastructure, oil & gas and resource projects. We are currently seeking applications from experienced Production Supervisor to join their team. The role is based at our client's facility in Cardup in Perth for a fixed 12-month contract.
Your responsibilities in the role will include:
- Primary role is to supervise staff on the floor
- Positively influence conformance with Safety
- Provide leadership on the quality of output
- Ensure correct recording production output, downtime, reject, rework on sheets provided and communicating appropriately with your team
- Fulfil job planning and prestart requirements.
- Provide hands-on practical advice & knowledge to the team.
- Identify and coordinate necessary cleaning, repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Assist in the maintaining of clean and tidy work areas.
- Ensure all tools & work gear are put away at shift end.
- Communicate production targets & efficiency initiatives to the team
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience of precasting concrete/construction experience
- Ability to think on your feet when under pressure
- Proven ability leading a team of 15 or more staff.
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to lead by example and know how to energise your team
- Hold relevant licenses & certification
- Familiarity with Australian standards
- Strong work ethic
- Candidates with a background in steel fixing/leading hand/concreter with the right attitude to succeed in this role will also be considered
