Preventive maintenance, upkeep, and troubleshooting of galley and main laundry equipment components:

• Main Galley, Crew Galley, Services Galleys, Pantries, and Specialty restaurant Dish and Glass Washers
• Ovens (mechanical parts assistance)
• Gaylord System
• Deep fat fryers (safety thermostat test)
• Ancillary equipment (slicers, mixers, etc.)
• Biodigester equipment

Main Laundry:

• Washers/Extractors
• Dryers
• Ironing Machines
• Folders

Hotel area equipment:

• Coffee Machines
• Juice/Blender Machines
• Guest/Crew Laundry Equipment
•  Main Laundry Equipment
• Gym Equipment
• Glass sliding doors / ADA automatic doors

Responsibilities:

• Ensure maintenance of assigned equipment under FMM responsibility with support from the electrical department when needed.
• Ensure proper equipment operation by adhering to electrical installation standards and performing advanced troubleshooting.
• Electrical shop to provide consumable materials and electronic instrument calibration as needed.
• Perform comprehensive electrical/electronic and mechanical maintenance, repair, routine testing, and automation troubleshooting.
• Maintain current records of maintenance and repairs.
• Update and develop planned maintenance procedures based on experience with each machine.
• Ensure inventory of strategic spare parts is sufficient for equipment maintenance.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.
• Participate in company-required drills and training.
• Complete additional assignments as per Chief Engineer discretion.
•  Request and coordinate all work through the FMM.
•  Apply company's OH&S standards during all working activities.

• 2+ years direct experience with mechanical equipment , electrical and electronic components ( Galley/ Culinary/Electrical)
• High School Diploma, Technical education, Electrical/Electronic Diploma or Professional certificate
• Basic STCW Trainings
• English Language proficiency
• Follow Carnival’s Occupational and Health policies and procedures at all times
• Ability to work well with a team
• Being representative of Carnival Brand
• Experience as Galley & Hotel Service Technician onboard cruise ships
