Contribution and Aim

The main purpose of this position is to be responsible for development and delivery of navigation and bulk courses offered by the Maritime Leaders Academy.

Key Responsibilities and role(s)

• Design and develop navigation and training programs in line with the requirements of OSM Thome and Customer.
• Deliver courses according to syllabus through classroom training and hands on instructions.
• Coordinate with concerned personnel to ensure smooth arrangements are made regarding the delivery of courses.
• Execute competence assessment or evaluation methods for the trainees as per course compendium.
• Coordinate with Training Admin and Support the required training equipment needed for the delivery of courses.
• Ensure proper documentations of assigned courses are readily available when needed.

Required Competencies

• Graduate of BS Marine Transportation (preferably Management Level w/ bulk vessel experience)
• Holder of IMO Model Course certificate as Instructor and Assessor is an advantage. Handling of Simulator courses is also an advantage.
• Training Development and Evaluation – Deck courses
• Proficient in creating presentation materials through various media
• Facilitation Skills
• Ability to promote new approaches to learning
• Excellent communicator, able to present with credibility and authority
