Purpose:
This role ensures that all crew requirements are met by overseeing recruitment programs, policies, and strategies. The position leverages data-driven insights to forecast hiring demands, streamline processes, and align recruitment efforts with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Recruitment Team to ensure effective, timely, and compliant crew hiring.
- Source, develop, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Align recruitment strategies across branches for consistency and efficiency.
- Establish and track recruitment metrics (candidate quality, cost-per-hire, time-to-fill).
- Analyze recruitment trends and market insights to improve hiring efforts.
- Ensure team competence through training, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Represent the department in executive meetings, audits, and industry engagements.
- Conduct final screenings/interviews and ensure candidates meet principal qualifications.
- Implement process improvements and corrective actions as needed.
Required Competencies:
- Extensive experience in recruitment, preferably in the maritime industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled in negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Experience in generating reports and conducting statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with various online recruitment platforms and media.
- Strong network within the maritime industry.
